I got permanently restricted at 04.01.2016 as I were doing a few things I have not done before.
The first thing that happened that day was that I found a replay editor to edit saved replays for osu. Now this was something I have been looking for a while as my friend had many replays that had been corrupted as he saved the replay before the map was ranked. Whenever a map get ranked they seem to get a new id. So I used this replay editor (found here: http://theaquila.net/showthread.php?tid=4330) to edit the id so it matched up with the right map. Now this worked just fine and everything was going okey, until I found something that I got scared about. I had a few replays of my own that also got corrupted that way and that I fixed but as I ended the replay it gave me score. Now at the time I didn't think logical about this and tought that I actualy uploaded the replay as a play I just did. But ofc this was not the case as I had simply just played a map earlier and my account had not been updated with the new score yet.
Because of this I got paranoid about my friend and since I gave him a modified version of his replay that he should get in trouble for it. I saw that my account was in good shape and had no warnings or anything on it, but because of what happened earlier I wanted to make sure everything was okey so I can continue on my day.

I remembered that my sister had an account that she doesn't use anymore as she stoped playing and asked if I could use it to do some tests. So I loged onto her account did a few tests with the replay editor and found nothing wrong with it. I then loged onto my account and received a message from bancho that my account was in restricted mode. So I went thru the rules again and were looking for the reason of my ban as I received no message about why and what caused it. At first I thought it was because of multiaccounting as I did play a few maps to test the replay editor on and such but still don't know by this date. I then waited 2 months before receiving a message from Hirase at osu@ppy.sh stating that my account have been observed engaging in cheating behaviour, and that I had to wait 6 months before sending a message to accounts@ppy.sh.

In this time I have been trying to understand and find out what might have been the cause. I have gone so far as to go back to my past videos and glitches I have found and going thru them and see if that might also have something to do with this. So I will go thru my list and try to explain as good as I can why I think that might be the cause.

  1. Multiaccounting
I loged back and forth a few times from my sister's account and mine (sister's account was "osu_iPad" as she was playing on touchscreen and such)

  2. Replay editor

  1. I have gone thru alot of forums and code to find that osu sends a list of system processes, names and id's to the website to see if they go under a blacklist of known hacks. Now this only happens when you connect to bancho. So because of earlier I opened the replay editor before osu was running and closed it before I opened osu, there was no problems. But as I were switching accounts while having the replay editor open (I opened it after I had connected to bancho) then it sent a new list of system processes.

  2. Flashlight glitch
I found a flashlight glitch a few months before this all happened. I made a unlisted video about this and sent it to other osu staff to get it fixed. It got fixed fearly quickly and I were happy to help. But then after my ban I have since went thru the code and find this anticheat system to be somewhat worrying. The glitch I found was that I were able to remove the flashlight mask around the cursor. And when I went thru the anticheat after what I understand it checks pixels around your screen to see if it is black or not. If it is not black it marks the user with a flashlight hack flag. I might have missunderstood the code but that is what I understand from what it looks like. Here is a link to the video I made https://youtu.be/bYqQMtfzACE?t=1m44s also it is not unlisted anymore as it have been fixed and therefor there is no reason to hide it anymore I feel like. The person that saw this first and forwarded this glitch I found was Trosk- (https://osu.ppy.sh/u/3469385).

My friend also told me to mention that I have been osu supporter and have continued to support osu even after I got restricted. https://osu.ppy.sh/u/5338128
I hope that helps to show that I love this game and that I have never wanted anything bad to happen to this game. If I were unclear about anything or if there is any questions you should like to ask me just send me a mail and I will respond fearly quickly as I check my email daily.
